Trevor Havill: Dual-Threat

Collin Deem, Staff Writer September 16, 2022
It's hard to miss Trevor Havill walking through the corridors of St. X with his 6'5 195-pound frame. It's not a huge surprise to hear that he is the quarterback for our football team in the fall. What may be surprising to some, is that he is an absolute star on our lacrosse team in the spring. In fact, he just committed to play college lacrosse for the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sept. 14.

Tiger XC Running for State

Ben Purnell, Staff Writer September 14, 2022
“I think a state title is possible, because we have a solid squad this year. The whole team will need some hill readiness in order to take on this year’s state course, probably one of the hardest and hilliest courses around” sophomore Thomas Weber said. “We’ll need Sami to keep being the fastest dude in the state. We’ll also need our 2, 3, 4, and 5 runners in the sub to low-16s this year in the 5k. Most importantly, the team will need to stay healthy and injury-free.”

Football Pick ‘Em with Coach Larkin

Adam Campisano, Staff Writer September 2, 2022
Each Friday of last year's fall semester, I looked forward to E period Finance and Investments with Coach Larkin. We would usually watch an interesting episode of Shark Tank or The Profit; however, the highlight of my class on Friday was when Coach Larkin and I would make picks on our "Game of the Week."
St. Xs Rage Cage in full effect as they root on the Tigers

Rage Cage Etiquette

Collin Deem, Staff Writer August 26, 2022
The Rage Cage, a place in which St. X students come together as one. You may not know the guy next to you but he is your brother. When the tigers are the warpath chant gets its turn, you put your arm around that guy because you both have a commonality in being a St. Xavier Tiger.
Volleyball Team Is Setting for State

Volleyball Team Is Setting for State

Sam Carr, Staff Writer April 12, 2022
The Tiger volleyball season is starting up and there is a lot of confidence in the team. The varsity team won State last year in a hard fought win against Trinity. This certainly means there are elevated expectations for this year's season. The team recently just lost to Trinity on Wednesday night 3-1 (23-25, 20-25, 25,20, 21-25), but this does not take away from the team’s desires and goals they plan to achieve. The team appears to not only have the goal of winning State but to propel themselves forward as well.
