LeBron James is no doubt one of best NBA players of all time, but he has a long history of clip farming as well. LeBron is a staple in the media and it sometimes backfires against him. LeBron can be seen as a walking meme sometimes and it is all brought upon himself. Here are best times LeBron has been seen as a meme:
5. Taco Tuesday
LeBron and the rest of the James Family was sitting at the dinner table on a random Tuesday. LeBron later went on Instagram live and started sharing their dinner. With it being Tuesday, the James family was having tacos, and the whole family started yelling “Taco Tuesday.”
4. Yabbo Daboo Do Old Navy
Another time on instagram, LeBron was chilling in his rocking chair on a random sunny day. He was listening to music, and then the song “Stay Down” by Lil Durk, came on and LeBron embarrassed himself. He was trying to act nonchalant and messed up the lyrics to the song by singing “Yabbo Daboo Do Old Navy.”
3. “That’s our ball ain’t it?”
When LeBron and the 2020 Lakers were playing in the bubble, the “That’s our ball” meme was born. During an intense game during the NBA playoffs, LeBron was on the bench and the referee called the ball out on the Lakers. That’s when LeBron got up out of his seat and charged the court yelling at the refs “that’s our ball ain’t it?” Now anytime there is a questionable call in a high school or pick up game, there’s no doubt you’ll hear “that’s our ball ain’t it?”
2. Sprite Cranberry
Whenever it’s Christmas time, there’s no doubt you’ll stumble upon the iconic LeBron James Sprite Cranberry commercial. This commercial came out back in December of 2017, and has been an instant classic ever since. The best part of this commercial isn’t LeBron being animated, it’s the famous words “Ay want a sprite cranberry? The answer is clear, it’s the thirstiest time of the year.’’
1. Book Reading
LeBron sat down for an interview with the media with a book in his hands. The book was the autobiography of Malcom X and the interviewer started asking him about the book. Right from the start, LeBron’s responses were telling. When the interviewer ask LeBron about his takeaways from the book, LeBron just responds with “I’ve read notes over the years, um… very smart man.” The screenshot of LeBron and the unopened book has infamously been turned into a popular Snapchat sticker.
