Top QB Will Levis and the Cats are looking to get a big win in their biggest game of the season so far.

Week 5: Football Pick ‘Em with Coach Larkin

September 30, 2022

If you’re a Kentucky fan, you absolutely have your calendar marked for Saturday, Oct. 1 at noon. Kentucky heads into Oxford for a highly anticipated matchup against the 14th ranked Ole Miss Rebels. Both teams come into the contest with an undefeated record of 4-0. For both UK and Ole Miss, this game has huge implications for winning their respective divisions in the SEC. Neither team has ever made the college football playoff, but the winner of this could possibly be a dark horse this year.

I think the key to the game this week is who will win the rushing battle. Kentucky star running back, Chris Rodriguez, is returning this game from a three game suspension. One of our well-respected analysts, Luke Daley, who is also an avid Kentucky supporter said, “I expect Chris Rodriquez and the Kentucky backfield to win them this game.”

Along with the rushing battle in this game, the two quarterbacks, Will Levis (top three quarterbacks in this year’s draft) and Jaxson Dart (recent transfer from USC) will both have a huge influence on who wins this game. This is both team’s first real test, and it should be a close matchup.
