The 2022 yearbook is out and I have chosen it. For my 9th and final Flashback Friday, I have brought us to the year of 2022. The Tigers were back in class with a mask and enjoyed a very successful year. This is a quick overview of the year that was 2022.

The spring season of anime is underway, and it's a promising one. Last year's spring season featured standout shows such as Spy Family, setting the bar high for this year. At the top of Shonen anime stand three paragons: Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. In 2017 Naruto finally concluded, and now with the final arc of Bleach finally being animated, another of the Big Three has reached its finale. Bleach has always had a bit of a problem with its story compared to the other two champions of anime, however, this last arc is making sure it ends with a bang.

Never before has a show garnered so much attention even before its release, yet even more surprising is how Chainsaw Man continues to not only meet, but exceed its enormous expectations. This strange spin on the shōnen genre has risen to match the very best anime coming out through its masterful story and great production.
