Benefield Plays a Big Role for the Tigers

The St. X baseball team boasts big names and can be challenging for young players to earn playing time. However, that hasn't been the case for Brodie Benefield. Benefield has excelled as a young pitcher and first baseman for the Tigers this season. It's not often that a freshman becomes a key contributor on a nationally ranked high school team.

The hockey world fixated on the Minnesota High School Hockey State tournament last weekend to watch future NCAA Division I and NHL players compete in front of 20,000 people in St. Paul. While the play was some of the best in the country, the tournament which is referred to as “The Tourney,” is known for having some of the greatest hairstyles ever known to man.

This year the Tigers Lacrosse team has arguably the hardest schedule in program history. The team plays 20 regular season games this year: 12 of them against out of state opponents. This year's schedule has a high number of teams that current players have never faced. With lots of senior leadership on the squad this year will play a huge factor in big games. The stage is set for the Tigers to make a name for themselves as a National program.
