“Take a breath when you can’t find the answer. Staying relaxed and focused is extremely important to preventing mindless mistakes,” said Estes. “Sleep is extremely important for this. Sometimes as high school students, I feel like we forget what it feels like mentally to get nine hours and be at the top of our game.”

Saint Xavier High School prides itself on academic excellence as well as college preparation. Currently (2020), the average composite ACT score is a proud 26.5 and in the past seven years, the St. X has had nineteen students achieve perfect scores. Five students currently walk the halls who have achieved this height. Representing the class of 2021 is Charles Brashear, Hillis Burns, and Carson Ching, while the class of 2020 has Logan Beaver and Anthony Mohr.
