The days of paper tickets have gone extinct, and in the last 5 years, mobile ticketing for sports games has become a societal norm. Some of the coolest things to keep ahold of were the paper ticket stubs from all the incredible games over the years. Personally, the one I will always hold onto is the 2016 Louisville vs Florida State football game. However, there’s a fix to this long-lost way of ticketing.
Momento is a mobile sports scrapbook that is completely free and has generated 4.9/5 stars on the Apple Store. With Momento, sports fans can search the games they have been to, and create a mobile version of a paper ticket. I discovered this app over the summer and added in all of the games I have been to over the years. Momento tracks all sports across every league, including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, hockey, racing, and concerts which are coming soon.
Momento also gives your profile stats. Momento keeps track of how many times you have seen a certain team, as well as how many times you have been to a stadium. Through Momento, you can also add your friends so games you went to with friends you can track together.
For example, the Tennessee vs Alabama game in 2022 is possibly in contention as one of the greatest college football games of the 21st century. I was lucky enough to be in person at a rocking Neyland Stadium. When I went back this summer in the app and searched for the game through Momento, it brought up a base paper ticket where it shows the attendance, the date, and the score as well as the stadium. From there I added my picture and it updated my profile stats.
As a sports fanatic who has been to over 100+ games, I find this app extremely fun and a super nice find for sports fans like me, who just wish paper tickets were still a thing of the present. I would recommend you give Momento a try as it’s super user-friendly and is fun to customize for each game you attend.
