In a thrilling come from behind victory, Junior Team Captain Sami Hattab won the 2021 Kentucky State Cross Country Championship individual title this past Saturday.
The championship game was locked at 0 for over a half, but with 31 minutes to play, Sulli Meyer scored on a header from a corner kick by Augustine Gonzalez. This goal proved to be enough for a victory thanks to lockdown defense and solid play from junior goalie Clayton Brooks.
