We all love the would you rather questions that Mrs. Metcalfe has in the CMC and hallway TV’s. If you want to see real debate, just throw out a “would you rather” at lunch. Somehow it turns a small argument into a deep discussion. Thanks to Mrs. Metcalfe I was able to get the results of some of the best would you rather’s this year.
Would you rather be the teacher’s favorite or be the class clown?
Winner: Class Clown
These results were honestly surprising. With a ton of intelligent students roaming the halls here everyday, there’s surely more students who like to be on their teacher’s good side. However, the results don’t lie.
Would you rather text your friends or hang out in person?
Winner: In Person
Group chats are undefeated. Especially since most high school students are constantly on their phone. There’s always homework complaints, sports talk, and random arguments at midnight. But with all of that considered, the results are interesting.
Contradicting the common thought about high school students being addicted to their phones, students would rather hang out in person than text their friends. I agree with this and believe there is something to be said about physical interactions between friends instead of interactions over the phone. Great take.
Would you rather never get to play sports again or never get to watch sports again?
Winner: Never Get to Watch Sports Again
At St. X we all love our sports. As a well known talented sports school, we have a lot of athletes. The question is would these athletes be willing to give up their sports forever to be able to watch sports. The results were a victory for the never watch sports again option.
As an athlete myself I agree with this. I would rather never watch sports again than never throw a football or play basketball with friends.
