Ever since COVID, there have not been many traditional snow days. With the technology, schools are able to use days many people know as NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction).
At St. X, we use synchronous, which is where we have scheduled times to meet with teachers in zoom calls, and have a normal type of day of school, but at home.
Another option is asynchronous, which is where teachers post work and have a zoom open from 9am-11am where students can join if they need help on assignments.
As we all know, a snow day can’t be perfect with school… Here is my perfect old-school, traditional snow day routine.
11 AM: Wake up
Sleep in, no alarms.
11:30 AM: Breakfast
Cut some strawberries, French toast on the pan, add syrup and the strawberries to have a perfect start to a perfect day.
12 PM: Work
Do something worth it. Help out people and shovel their driveways. It’s a bonus whenever they throw in some money, but don’t do it just for the money.
2 PM: Video Games
Get on Fortnite or 2k with the boys for a little bit.
3 PM: Lunch
A nice, perfect ham/turkey sandwich with chips will do.
3:30 PM: Video Games
Get on 2k or Fortnite.
5 PM: Relax
My perfect day has been filled with activities so far, so now I will just sit on the couch, snacking on Little Debbie’s, watching some TV (hoping college basketball is on).
7 PM: Dinner
A bowl of Chili on a snow day could never hurt.
7:30 PM: Shower
8 PM: Game some more
Could never have to much 2k or Fortnite in your system. Call my friends back up and play until I go to sleep.
11 PM: Sleep
… The next day I will wake up and do it all over again because there should be no other way to spend your snow day other than this.
