After 20 years of pure domination with Bill Belicheck at the helm, the Patriots have faced some recent troubles. With instability at the quarterback position over the past five seasons it has been hard for New England to get their feet back underneath them.
After a horrific season with former Patriots linebacker and linebackers coach Jerod Mayo at head coach, the Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft has decided to make a change. With the recent firing of Jerod Mayo, the franchise has decided to hire former Patriots linebacker and Titans head Coach Mike Vrabel.
Mike Vrabel has a history of success as a head Coach. He spent 6 years with the Titans and racked up 56 wins including two wins in the postseason. He led the Titans to three playoff berths and even clinched the 1 seed in the AFC during the 2021 season.
There are high hopes in Foxborough and across all of New England. Not only does Vrabel have head coaching success, but he also brings a new energy to the organization. In a press conference he wanted to make sure that the public knew what to expect for the future of the Patriots. “I want to galvanize our football team. I want to galvanize this building. I want to galvanize our fans,” Vrabel said.
As a Patriots fan, it’s safe to say that the fan base is fired up. The future’s looking bright in New England.
