Freshman Retreat Forms Bonds

St. X High School is well-known for its fantastic retreat program. In fact, many of the alumni say that the most memorable part of their high school experience was retreat.

The freshmen are exposed to retreat during their first year of high school. Retreat allows the students to bond and take a break from everyday life.

Mr. Ben Cottrell and campus ministry partnered with the Earth and Spirit Center to create a retreat experience for freshmen. The theme of the retreat is team building. The students participated in various low-rope courses and nature walks.

The students left the retreat with newly created friendships that they will carry for the rest of their time at St. X.

Xavier News was able to take an inside look at the freshman retreat and highlight an unforgettable experience that incoming freshmen can look forward to.
