Baseball season is back, and the Tigers are ready. With their first two games canceled, they are still waiting to get going.
Coming off a strong year (29-7), the Tigers are preseason ranked No. 2 for the 2026 season. They arguably have the toughest schedule in Kentucky, taking on 11 of Prep Baseball Report’s preseason top 25 teams. They also play four top Illinois schools, along with Elder (Ohio) and Indianapolis Cathedral.
On Thursday, March 19, the Tigers took on No. 7 Lexington Catholic in their season opener. Brodie Benefield (Sr.) got the start for the Tigers. He went three innings, giving up two hits, zero runs, and recording two strikeouts to earn the win. The Tigers’ offense came out swinging, scoring six runs in the first inning on seven hits. They made a statement in their first game of the season, winning 12-5.

- Oakley Clevenger (Sr.): 2-for-3 with an RBI
- Wyatt Graven (Sr.): 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs

- Nolan White (So.): 2-for-3 with an RBI
The Tigers had a doubleheader on Saturday, March 21, against Covington Catholic and Paul Laurence Dunbar. They won both games, beating Covington Catholic 7-0 and Dunbar 11-1.
