After coming up short in the conference finals last year to the Edmonton Oilers, this year’s Dallas Stars team is coming for one thing and one thing only: the Stanley Cup. Dallas has started the 2025–2026 campaign 38-14-9 and looks like one of the best teams in the league. The team has been playing fast, physical hockey and has been able to win games in multiple ways.
A big part of their success has been their star players stepping up. Jason Robertson continues to be one of the most dangerous scorers on the team and always seems to find the back of the net. Captain Jamie Benn brings leadership and toughness every night, while young star Wyatt Johnston keeps improving and making big plays when the team needs it.
On defense, Miro Heiskanen has been a huge part of Dallas’s success, controlling the puck and helping shut down opposing offenses. With strong goaltending and solid defense behind them, the Stars have been able to stay consistent all season.
As the playoffs get closer, the focus for Dallas is clear. The team hasn’t forgotten how last season ended, and they’re using that as motivation. If the Stars keep playing the way they have been, this team has a real chance to bring the Stanley Cup back to Dallas.
