Fortnite is known as one of the best video games of all time. Many people know Fortnite as the video game where it’s every man for themselves, and you got to be the last man/squad standing to win. Every late teenager has spent their teenage years playing Fortnite, trying to stack up wins. But many people who played didn’t know that while they were trying to rack up wins and out play their friends, they were learning valuable life lessons. Here are the top five life lessons learned from Fortnite:
5. The higher you get up the more people are going to try and shoot you down
In Fortnite when you and your boys are trying to have fun and build a sky base, there is always that one squad that wants to shoot y’all down. This is similar to life, how there is always someone that doesn’t want to see you succeed. Just like in Fortnite, you got to keep building.
4. Remember to always thank the bus driver, they got you there
Before you drop it off the Battle bus, you have the option to thank the bus driver and like in life you should always thank the people who help get you where you are. Famously, in Kevin Durant’s MVP speech he made the speech about his mom and how his mom sacrificed so much to help him achieve his goals.
3. Take time to heal after you make it out of the storm
After you take some storm damage, it’s important to med up with a med kit or some bandages so you aren’t low health when you get into another fight. Maybe even pop a mini or two. Like life, if you get into a bad incident and you aren’t fully healthy, it’s important you heal up fully before rushing into something that might cause more damage.
2. If you weren’t there when I pushed the squad, don’t be there when I collect the loot
After I kill the whole squad by myself, and there is a ton of loot, if you’re my teammate don’t expect to get some of the good loot. Like in life, if someone did all the hard work and got to the top make sure not to expect some of the share. Like with top athletes, sometimes they have family members that expect to get some money or something from the athletes.
1. Don’t expect to get the high ground without taking the time to build up
The only way you can take high ground without building is a lunch pad or a rift, but if you don’t have that kind of luck you have to build up, which takes time. So in life you can’t expect to have things given to you or get certain opportunities if you never put in the hard work needed.
