Brian’s Landis was named as the head coach for Saint Xavier following the departure of Kevin Wallace, who coached at Saint Xavier for eight seasons and brought home a state championship in 2021.
Landis is a graduate of Georgetown college. Coach Landis spent 12 seasons with his alma mater, earning a reputation as being detail oriented before moving on to EKU in 2015 and UK in 2016.
Coach Landis led the Broncos of Fredrick Douglas for their first three seasons (2017-2019), quickly establishing the program as a statewide contender and compiling a record of 35-5 which included a state championship appearance in 2019. From there he moved on to Atlanta with Georgia State.
He spent three seasons as the inside linebackers coach at Georgia State before moving on to West Georgia for a season. Most recently, Coach Landis spent a season at Alpharetta High School in Georgia.
Coach Landis thinks very highly of St. Xavier and their football team. He even coached some of the staff here.
“Very few high schools you walk into have the feeling that you have when you walk in here, and it’s been that way long before I’ve been here, the tradition here of excellence is unmatched,” Coach Landis said.
