One of the best things in the PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man video games by Insomniac Games is choosing what suits you want to have Spidey wear while playing the game. The latest installment in the franchise, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, introduced the suit style feature that gave certain suits three extra color ways to choose from. Some styles even end up looking better than the default design. In this article, I will explaining what I think are some of the best suit styles for both Peter and Miles in the game.

Honorable mention: Spider-Man 2099 “Black” Suit (Style 1)
I felt like mentioning this style because of a personal pet peeve I’ve had with the name of this suit that this style rectifies. Most of us are aware that the default of this suit is blue and red, but it’s called the black suit because it’s actually supposed to be black in the comics. The reason it looks blue is because artists like having blue parts on the black to resemble some sort of shading. That causes it to look more blue, and most everyone goes with it. Insomniac made the default style blue, but still called it black even though it’s clearly blue. While I honestly prefer the blue to black, I appreciate this style for making the name look less dumb.

10: 10th Anniversary Suit (Style 1)
It’s crazy to think that Miles is only over ten years old since his debut in the comics and he’s already very popular. In honor of his 10th Anniversary, Miles got this new suit in the comics. This style has only one minor difference from the default style and that’s that it is a slightly darker red. The original style is a more pinkish-red. This style is more my preferred red color for this suit. Since it’s barely different from the default, that earns it the number 10 spot.
The Fluro Suit (Style 1) for Peter Parker (Captured in Photo Mode of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5) (

9: Fluro Suit (Style 1)
The Fluro suit is one of the celebrity-designed suits that was added in the June 18th, 2024 update to the game. The default style of this suit is predominantly black with neon green stripes around the suit and spider symbol. While I like the default style, I will admit, it’s not very Spider-Man-like when you look at it. That’s why I really like this style because it has the classic red and blue we all know and love, as well as a white spider symbol, making this an awesome suit for an alternate Spider-Man whose a biker.

8: T.R.A.C.K. Suit (Style 2)
I feel like when we all saw the T.R.A.C.K. suit in Miles’ game, we all thought that it was his equivalent to the Advanced suit, with all the white and such. However, while I do really like the default style, I do think that this all black style looks CLEAN. It just looks awesome.

7: Best There Is Suit (Style 1)
This style is just the best Wolverine variant for this suit. I do like the iconic yellow and blue for Wolverine’s suit, but I just think the brown works better with the yellow. The third style for this suit is the classic yellow and blue, but to me personally, the blue is a little too dark, so that’s why this style beats out style 3. This suit and style also serves as a good reminder that Insomniac Games is making a Wolverine game.
The Black Suit (Style 2) for Peter Parker (Captured in Photo Mode of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5) (

6: Black Suit (Style 2)
When the game originally released, the Black Suit and the other story-related symbiote suits didn’t have suit styles. They got styles when the update for New Game+ released on March 7th, 2024. One of the styles for the Black Suit was this Anti-Venom inspired variant, which really makes this design for the iconic Black Suit really stand out with the more gooey parts remaining black to complement the white armor-looking parts. This style just gives off vibes of the Future Foundation suit, which I’m not complaining about. This style just makes Insomniac’s take on the Black suit even more awesome.
The Smoke and Mirrors Suit (Style 1) for Miles Morales (Captured in Photo Mode of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5) (

5: Smoke and Mirrors Suit (Style 1)
Someone over at Insomniac must be a big fan of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers because you cannot look at this style and tell me this doesn’t look like the White Ranger, and I really love the White Ranger suit so this color variant for Miles’ Mysterio inspired suit is definitely one of my favorites.
The Forever Suit (Style 1) for Miles Morales (Captured in Photo Mode of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5) (

4: Forever Suit (Style 1)
After the Web-head, my favorite marvel hero is Black Panther, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this suit for Miles. I love the default and all the alternative styles for this suit, but if I had to choose, I’d definitely choose this style because it looks the most like how the King of Wakanda’s suits look in the MCU.
The Classic Suit (Style 2) for Peter Parker (Captured in Photo Mode of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5) (

3: Peter’s Classic Suit (Style 2)
Remember how for the honorable mention I brought up how comic artists put blue shading on the black parts of the suit? Well, that was the case for the iconic classic suit. Before it was officially red and blue, Peter Parker’s most famous suit was actually red and black when he first appeared in the comics, and Insomniac paid homage to Spidey’s debut in comics with this great style for the classic suit.
The Advanced Suit 2.0 (Style 1) for Peter Parker (Captured in Photo Mode of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5) (

2: Advanced Suit 2.0 (Style 1)
The Advanced Suit 2.0 is the updated version of Insomniac’s original design from the first game, and like most other people, I think this suit is a great improvement to the original design. Also like many others, I think this style looks amazing. I love the iconic red and blue, don’t get me wrong, but this style with the deeper red and the black is just simply beautiful. I wouldn’t blame anyone for wanting this to be the official design for the Advanced Suit.

1: Advanced Suit (Style 2)
I remember long before the second game was announced and even longer before the official design for the Black Suit was revealed, this style was what pretty much everyone thought the black suit was going to look like in this game, and I can’t really blame them. The all black design with the white sections remaining the same just looks so perfect for a Symbiote design. As someone who absolutely loves the Black Suit for Spider-Man, I really love this style and that’s why it earns the number one spot.
