Military Football Pick ‘Em with Coach Larkin

December 9, 2022

In easily the most historic rivalry, Army and Navy will face off in their 123rd meeting. This rivalry started back in 1890, and the game has been played every year since 1929.

Navy leads the series 62-53. From 2002-2015, Navy went on a win streak of 14 games versus the Black Knights. Army finally broke the streak and has went 4-2 since getting over the hump. This game is also usually low scoring each year. It truly will come down to who wins the battle of the trenches, especially cause both teams rank 2nd (Army) and 7th (Navy) in total rushing yards per game.

Neither team has had a great season. Navy is 4-7, but they have been competitive in their last two games in a close loss to Notre Dame and a gritty win against UCF. Army is 5-6, on the other hand, hasn’t won many of their biggest games, but they have taken care of business in the games they were supposed to win. Both of these teams have so much hatred for the other that anything can happen on any given day; it just depends on what team shows up.
