Sky and Joey’s Release Radar

It’s a sunny Friday morning here at St. X, and we have lots of new music. This week is LOADED with new music. Kanye dropped a single for his upcoming album coming next week (don’t get your hopes up), and Pusha T, 21 Savage, Future dropped singles. Here are our favorites. 

Sky

“Masquerade” – Beach House

Of all the Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Alternative music on my Release Radar this week, “Masquerade” from Beach House’s new EP Once Twice Melody stood out to me. With its deep synth, bell tones, and ear pleasing vocals, “Masquerade” is a good choice for a night of slow driving through downtown as the neon lights flash and bathe your car in color. I highly recommend this song for those into alternative music.

“Half Moon Mornings” – Curren$y, The Alchemist 

Being a huge Kanye fan, I was psyched when he dropped a single. However, it wasn’t my favorite song that dropped today. Curren$y and The Alchemist dropped a great track. Hot take, but The Alchemist might be the best producer right now. His unique beats really make the song and Curren$y definitely delivered. If you’re a fan of Earl Sweatshirt or any other experimental hip hop, check out this track.
