Last weekend, the Tiger hockey team traveled to Chicago to play a game at the United Center, home of the Chicago Blackhawks and Bulls. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all the players.
“It was a surreal experience to play where the pros play,” senior Andrew Larkin said.
They faced off against a tough Mount Carmel team from the Chicago area. Unfortunately, the Tigers lost, but they put up a good effort. Sophomore Bates Cimba stood out, netting two goals.
Next week is crucial for the team as the tigers play Trinity on Saturday. They’re also looking for revenge as they play Owensboro on Sunday, whom they lost to in overtime during last year’s state tournament.
