After a 43-0 win over Meade County, the football team was given the weekend off to enjoy fall break. The O-Line used this rare Saturday day off to participate in the UPS Plane Pull, an event to raise money for Special Olympics.
Jeffrey Artman, a junior right tackle, read about the event online and decided to ask the O-Line to participate.
“We did the plane pull because we are related to people with special needs and know a lot of people who participate in the Special Olympics,” Artman said. “It gives a chance to shine some light on people who deserve opportunities in life.”
As a team, the O-Line raised $2,150. The event as a whole raised $108,985. The St. X O-Line had the fastest time in its group with 7.71 seconds.
