Principal Amy Sample and the St. X administration implemented SchoolPass to campus during the 2023-2024 school year to more effectively monitor attendance and student location throughout the day. This system scans student IDs and is found in each classroom along with multiple locations around the school.
SchoolPass was discovered by Mr. Smith (Assistant Principal) and was put into place by Mr. Quirino (Director of Technology) and Mr. Motley (Campus Security Officer). Out of the many softwares, SchoolPass was ultimately the best fit for St. X.
With over 1,100 students within our school and the help of SchoolPass, St. X has become even more advanced in its daily operations. The system seems to be working well so far.
Safety is a top priority for St. X and protecting students from any type of harm is paramount. Any guest who comes into the school has to scan their driver’s license and if they have a record of past offenses, they are not allowed within the school. In an emergency, students can be easily tracked to make sure that they are safe.
Like most schools, bathroom breaks during class time can become fairly out of control. If a student uses the bathroom multiple times a day for long periods of time or creates a problematic pattern of using the bathroom, the student could have preventative measures put into place.
The data collected through SchoolPass on a daily basis will help teachers and administrators identify trends and patterns on individual and school-wide levels. This software will hopefully prove to be even more effective over time.
