The St. X faculty basketball game on Feb. 3 is destined to be an instant classic as some of the Tigers’ top faculty ballers hit the court in the state-of-the-art Brother John Wills Sports Activities Center. Expect drama as teacher superstars Señor Salomon, Mr. Caudill, Coach McCormick, and numerous other St. X legends lace up their basketball shoes to create a thrilling display of world class athleticism. St. X’s top student and faculty ballers need to be on alert during Catholic Schools Week (Jan. 31-Feb. 3) as the school hosts an array of exciting basketball events and challenges for Tigers across all grade levels during lunch periods. Each contest held in the Sterne Gym requires at least a one dollar donation to participate. All proceeds go to support Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services.

Senior DJ Stobbe is the leader of the Special Olympics department in the Ryken Service Club, a member of SAC’s marketing team, and a two time varsity baseball player. He is a vastly influential leader of the student body and an important promoter of the student voice.

Senior Kash Albarado shot three under par at the regional tournament to secure his spot in the state tournament. Hoping to play at the collegiate level, winning state would help propel him to achieve his goal. 

St. X is back. After a depressing pandemic year in which school spirit dipped to an all time low, the Tigers have bounced back this year with vigor and zeal.
