Let’s get one thing straight here: I have had enough of this silly debate. Whenever I engage in this conversation, I am left dumbfounded, saddened, and questioning the education system of this country. It’s high time that I take it upon myself to put this discussion to bed once and for all, and deliver a well researched, heavily analyzed thesis on who would win: a grizzly bear, or a silverback gorilla. But before we can go any further, let’s lay out the rules, along with some basic numbers.
For years, Spider-Man has been terrorizing this city with his “heroic” antics, leaving millions of dollars of destruction in his path. FINALLY, with his true identity exposed, authorities can bring this VILLAINOUS VIGILANTE to JUSTICE.
The wait is over! So many great films came out this past year, and it’s finally time to honor the best of the best. On the morning of Feb. 8, the nominations for the 94th Academy Awards went live, and as always, the list is chock full of incredible films and talent. Of course, each category can only have one winner, so let’s take a look at the nominees and sort out who some of those winners may be.

It’s a sad reality that the Star Wars fanbase is so divided. There are many other criticisms people make about these films, such as the lightsaber combat not being as flashy as the sequels (which I could rant about like I did with the other points), but I enjoyed the films for what they were. They weren’t the best movies ever made, sure, but they weren’t abysmal. I encourage Star Wars fans to give them another try.
The announcement of “The Batman” was met with excitement, nervousness, and a bit of fear. Whenever a new vision of an iconic character is in the works, fans cross their fingers and hope for the best. In this case, I am very, very, thrilled to be able to say that this film absolutely knocked it out of the park.
The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, in typical Olympic fashion, was a thrilling event that kept eyes the world over glued to the television. Records, expectations, and sadly, a few hearts, were broken. Through triumph and tragedy, this year’s Olympians have brought their sports to new heights, holding nothing back. If you missed out on the games this year, don’t fret; here are ten of the most important and memorable Olympic moments of 2022.
Four St. X students were recently recognized with Scholastic Awards in the regional competition for photography. Among these students were Logan Warman, Wes Logan, Luke Napier and Ben Wolff. Logan Warman earned two Gold Keys, Wes Logan and Luke Napier both took home a Gold Key, and Ben Wolff earned a Silver Key.
There are few, if any, experiences at St. X that bridge the gap between all different types of students like this retreat. No matter who you are, what you do, or where you’re from, there is a place for you on this retreat. I grew close to people I likely would have never met in my time at St. X and shared fond memories with people whose names I didn’t even know. Despite all this, my experience alone isn’t enough to encapsulate this retreat, so here are some reflections from my fellow classmates:
